Came down to Bangkok specifically for the crystal restoration on a vintage Seiko. The acrylic they fitted is the correct type for the period, not a sapphire that would look wrong. Small detail but it matters. Took a bit longer than I hoped due to parts sourcing, though they let me know ahead of time.

Three Pieces, Three Outcomes
The Watch
A 1968 Longines automatic, caliber 505. Brought in by a client who received it from her father. The movement had not been opened in at least twenty years, and the watch had stopped two months prior.
What Was Done
Full strip-down, ultrasonic cleaning, inspection under magnification, replacement of two worn keyless works components sourced from our parts archive, new lubricants, reassembly, and regulation on the timegrapher over three days.
The Outcome
Movement regulated to +4 sec/day in dial-up and crown-down positions. Amplitude at 275°. Client chose to leave the case unpolished. Service completed in three weeks at the agreed price of ฿3,600.

The Watch
A mid-1970s Seiko 5 with a badly scratched acrylic crystal and a dial showing light tropical patina. Brought in by a collector who wanted the crystal addressed without touching the dial character.
What Was Done
The acrylic crystal was replaced with a period-correct equivalent sourced from a Japanese supplier. The dial was cleaned lightly to stabilise the surface but the patina was left entirely intact per the client's clear preference.
The Outcome
Crystal replacement completed. Dial character preserved. The client noted the result was precisely what they had asked for — readable through a clear lens, but visually unchanged in character. Completed in two weeks.

The Watch
A 1950s Patek Philippe Calatrava with a cracked dial and a movement that had been incorrectly lubricated previously, causing accelerated wear to the escape wheel. Brought in by an estate-sale buyer.
What Was Done
A full heritage restoration spanning eleven weeks. New escape wheel sourced from a Swiss specialist, dial sent for professional stabilisation, case hand-finished using the original brushing pattern. Each stage documented in photographs shared with the client.
The Outcome
Movement running at +2 sec/day, amplitude at 290°. Dial stabilised and presentable. Case refinished sympathetically. Client received a comprehensive written record with photographic documentation. Final cost within the agreed written estimate.
